Why Security Printing Matters
Software alone is not enough.
Cryptographic verification is powerful - but it depends on the physical artefact being difficult to clone in the first place. A perfectly signed QR code on a photocopiable substrate can still be reproduced. That is why Authentific invests in both layers: the digital signature and the physical security of the printed item.
For tax stamps, identity documents, bank notes, degrees, and high-value certificates, the substrate itself must be a security feature. Authentific produces it.

Mould-made and cylinder-mould watermarks - three-dimensional, embedded in the paper fibre, and impossible to reproduce with printing.
Invisible UV Inks High
Invisible under normal light; fluoresce under UV. Used for taggants, serialisation markers, and covert verification features.
Thermochromic Inks Medium
Change colour or disappear with body heat or temperature shift - a tactile, consumer-facing authentication feature.
OVI - Optically Variable Ink Ultra
Shifts colour with viewing angle. Used on bank notes and the highest-security tax stamps. Cannot be reproduced by colour photocopier.
Microtext High
Text printed at a scale invisible to the naked eye, requiring magnification to read. A standard forensic-level feature.
Guilloches High
Mathematically generated intricate line patterns - the foundational security background of certificates, currencies, and stamps.
Security Fibres Medium
Visible and UV-reactive fibres embedded in the paper pulp during manufacture - a substrate-level authentication feature.
Holographic Foils High
Hot-stamped or cold-foiled holograms - kinetic, 3D, and colour-shifting effects that defeat photographic reproduction.
Serialisation Medium
Unique sequential numbering per item, paired with the digital serial in the Anti-Copy QR. Both must match at verification.
Variable Data Printing Medium
Personalised data - names, photographs, QR codes - printed per item at production speed, with full audit linkage.
